Volunteer with us
Volunteering is fun, rewarding and plays a critical role in our work to improve animal welfare. Take a look at our latest opportunities on offer, both in your local area and based from home. You can apply straight away through our volunteering portal.
Volunteering is for every kind of person
We believe everyone can make a difference through volunteering and we’re proud to welcome people from across different communities. We actively remove barriers preventing people from joining us in protecting every kind of animal.
We have some opportunities for those under the age of 18 but if you can’t find what you’re looking for why not consider having some fun fundraising for us instead?
We can't do it without you
What will I gain?
Volunteering with us is a great way to meet like minded people who share the same enthusiasm for animal welfare. Alongside learning new skills there is a whole host of benefits and rewards associated with volunteering:
- Specialist training, uniform and equipment for certain roles
- Invitations to exclusive talks and events led by RSPCA experts
- The chance to join RSPCA affinity networks
- The opportunity to learn key skills that could lead to a career with the RSPCA or one of our partners
- Free access to Aviva’s CareFirst support package and other wellbeing initiatives
Duke of Edinburgh Pathway
Welcome to our new pathway for anyone undertaking the volunteering section of their Duke of Edinburgh Award. Whether you are doing Bronze or Silver, you can complete our self led activities on our education site and learn more about wildlife, animal welfare and how you can make an impact in your local community.
Pick Your Own Activities
You can choose which activities you would like to complete on our education site to make up your 3 month or 6 month volunteering commitment. We’ve got so much to choose from including litter picking, fundraising for the RSPCA or making up a Paws Pack for our Pet Food Bank scheme. Everything can be completed from home and adapted if you’d like to work in a group.
