Terms and conditions
The RSPCA's free Will-writing service
- The RSPCA pays for supporters to write a ‘simple’ Will, as this helps to drive income from gifts in Wills by removing the need for supporters to pay for their Will. The RSPCA does not pay for more complicated Wills as this would negatively impact the charity’s return on investment beyond its current desire.
- You are under no obligation to leave a gift to the RSPCA in your Will at any time in order to use the free Will-writing service.
- The service is provided by The Goodwill Partnership (TGP), not the RSPCA. Should you choose to use the service, you will enter into a direct relationship with TGP and not the RSPCA.
- We do not endorse or guarantee the service provided by TGP. The RSPCA recommends that you carry out your own independent research on TGP and other service providers in the same field and only choose TGP if you are satisfied with the quality of their service (and where applicable level of charges).
- The RSPCA will cover the cost of a simple Will provided by The Goodwill Partnership. As part of this process, all Wills are checked by one of TGP’s in-house solicitors (Regulated by The Law Society and Solicitors Regulatory Authority). However, some people may require a complex Will to be written. TGP will confirm what kind of Will is required for you and if you Will requirements are eligible under the free Will-writing scheme.
- The RSPCA excludes all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, costs and expenses arising as a result of your use of the services provided by TGP, unless the liabilities, losses, damages, claims, costs and expenses are caused as a direct result of the RSPCA’s negligent act.
- The RSPCA reserves the right to, at any time and without notice, withdraw or limit the free Will-writing service scheme to new requests.
- This offer is only available to residents of mainland England and Wales.
These terms and conditions related to the free Will-writing service were updated 6 December 2024.
