How we help local animals

If you suspect cruelty or neglect, or to report a sick, injured or trapped animal, please gather all the information you can about the situation , and report this to the national RSPCA’s cruelty line:

0300 1234 999 (7am-10pm)

Please be prepared to provide the information on this page in your report. 

 

 

We are a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA (who employ the RSPCA Inspectors).  We offer the following services:

  • £5 Wales cat neutering & microchipping scheme - We are involved in this scheme offered in partnership between RSPCA Cymru and Cats Protection in Wales.  Visit this website to see a map that shows which vets in your area are enrolled in this scheme and the eligibility criteria. 

You will need to contact your chosen vets directly to use the cat neutering scheme.

If you are having difficulties using the map to find your nearest vet, or wish to discuss the criteria for eligibility, please contact the Cats Protection Helpline directly on 03000 12 12 12 (option 2: 9.30am-1pm, Monday-Friday).

Our financial assistance scheme is operated in partnership with RSPCA Gwent Branch.  To find out more or apply for a financial assistance voucher (as below), call 01633 289 399 (press option 2) or email

Financial assistance:

  • £50 voucher towards neutering dogs - a virtual voucher for £50 towards the cost  of getting your dog neutered (spayed / castrated).  This scheme is for people on means-tested benefits living in the Pembrokeshire Branch area (max 1 dog neutering voucher per household in any 12 month period)
  • £35 voucher towards neutering small animals - a virtual voucher for £35 towards the cost of getting your small animal (rabbit / guinea pig / ferret etc) neutered (spayed / castrated).  This scheme is for people on means-tested benefits living in the Pembrokeshire Branch area (max 2 small animal neutering vouchers per household in any 12 month period)
  • Emergency veterinary financial assistance -  a voucher for 50% of the cost (capped at £75) - for people on means-tested benefits living in the Pembrokeshire Branch area (max 2 vouchers per household, and max 1 voucher per animal in any 12 month period - not including neutering vouchers)
