Our History
Our old centre on Division lane closed back in August 2014. It had been there since 1958.
The new Centre:
We are based at Old Toms Lane, Stalmine, FY6 0JR. We opened the Centre on 09.09.2014. The centre is open
Tuesday - Friday 11am - 6pm
Saturday - Sunday 11am - 5pm
We currently house our cats in a large cattery which was completed late August 2014. The cattery allows each cat to have their own space, with each pod being heated and kept warm in winter, and well ventilated in the summer. It is "state of the art" as some people may say!
In addition we also have an isolation area for any cats that come in with illnesses or may need extra vet treatment before moving across to the cattery for re homing.
To see the cats currently available for adoption please click "rehome a pet" in the tool bar menu on our home page.
We also have a small animal unit with lots of smaller furries looking for new homes so please take time to look at these in the rehome a pet section.
We have a small team of paid staff but due to financial constraints, we rely heavily on our excellent volunteers. If you regularly have a few hours each week to spare and would like to help at the centre or one of our charity shops, please pop in and see us or call us on 01253 703000.
We promote responsible pet ownership through offering veterinary/financial assistance to help animals most in need in our branch area. Please contact us to find out more.
