About Me

Breed: Domestic Longhair crossbreed
Colour: White - Ginger
Age: 10 Years (approx)
Ref: 258521

Keith is searching for his forever loving home. Keith is a friendly quiet boy and enjoys nothing more than snoozing in a comfy bed. Keith has been lucky enough to be cared for in one of the centres amazing fosterers in a home environment for some of his time with the RSPCA, and he has liked spending time on his fosterers laps and the company he has had whilst with them, Keith also likes his treats!

Keith does need regular grooming to keep his long fur in good condition, however he is still building up the confidence and trust in allowing people to groom him, and this will take some time for build up in the new home. Currently he can be groomed gently on his back and sides but doesn't like his underside being groomed. Keith will play with toys that move quickly to spark his natural instincts, but he would rather find a nice quiet spot to watch the world go by. Keith prefers his peace and quiet so would like to have a quiet household.

Keith did find cattery life stressful which unfortunately caused him to overgroom. Alongside this it is also believed that Keith does have some allergies and he is on a steroid treatment of prednisolone and it is expected that he will need to remain on treatment lifelong. Adopters would need to keep an eye on Keith's grooming and coat/skin and seek vet attention if he was overgrooming. Whilst in foster care there were improvements to his coat and skin. Further information on Keith's coat and skin will be provided to suitable adopters. Going into a new home environment could cause his allergies to flare up and monitoring of this should be undertaken.

Whilst at the centre Keith had a dental which resulted in two teeth extractions.

He can live with older teens who are calm and gentle around cats, he does need a quiet home. Keith is to be the only cat in the home. He can not live with a dog
