Meet Bruce! This handsome and intelligent Belgian Malinois arrived in our care alongside another dog after their previous living situation couldn?t meet their needs. Though Bruce has shown a good response to his training here at the centre, he is finding the environment to be quite stressful and we are now looking for the right home in which Bruce can thrive.

Quick to respond for a ball or a treat, we hope Bruce will quickly adapt in a home environment where he will receive positive guidance and have a consistent routine. Bruce is very clean in the kennel, which should make the transition into a home much smoother for both Bruce and his adopters. His ideal home would have plenty of outdoor space where can safely explore in a secure area.

As Bruce has shown some anxieties in the kennel and in busier locations on an off-site visit, we are looking for a rural or village home where Bruce can enjoy the quiet surroundings. Bruce has shown he can interact positively around other dogs with slow and positive introductions, but this will need ongoing work in the home to continue. As such Bruce is looking for a home where he is the only animal.

We would love to find Bruce an adult only home, or a home with older, dog-savvy teenage children who are understanding of the needs of a high-energy working breed. Bruce is looking for patient owners who can commit to continuing his socialisation and training so he can build his confidence.
