SPUD
Check out Find a pet for more animals looking for loving new homes in other RSPCA centres and branches.
Adopting from Blackberry Farm
The centre takes in many animals who have been rescued from cruelty and neglect but sadly also animals who have simply been abandoned. In 2015 we rehomed 148 dogs, 362 cats, 69 rabbits and 154 other animals. That's 733 animals in a year
All our animals are looking for someone to offer them a new home, to be a friend and look after them. In return a pet will offer fun, friendship and loyalty.
If you have room in your home and in your heart to take on a rescue animal, please take a look at the list below. If you can't find the pet you're looking for now, check back regularly to see if your perfect match has become available or visit Find a pet to view other animals in the RSPCA's care across England and Wales.
Our centre is always full, but sometimes there may only be a few animals available for adoption. This is because the other animals are still subject to criminal prosecution and waiting for their cases to be heard in court, or undergoing rehabilitation. Some of these animals may be available for fostering
FOSTERING
This is different to adopting. We are always looking for special people to help us with some of our long term case dogs who we are unable to rehome until the case has gone to court. We look for people who could offer a temporary home to these dogs as this is much better than being in a kennel environment. We cannot express how much this helps these dogs. They can be provided with a more natural and enriched life while they wait for the court date. While these dogs are with their fosterer, we pay for all their food and any medical treatment. All you need to be able to provide is your time and patience to help these dogs settle into normal life. Please contact the centre if you think this may be an option you would like to do and we would be more than happy to discuss it further. Thank you
