Newcastle & North Northumberland Branch

Degu delight!

Degus looking for their forever homes

Our branch normally serves dogs and cats however, this is a special appeal for 4 female adult degus and 4 male baby degus who are looking for their forever homes! These fascinating little animals are active, chatty and great fun, but do have very specific welfare, housing and social needs (they thrive living ideally in same sex groups or pairs). You can read more about degu care and welfare on our website:
https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/rodents/degus

Degus originate from South America and typically live for 6-7 years. They are active, acrobatic and fun to watch. They need to live in pairs or groups as they are social animals and would be unhappy living alone. We are looking for adopters who understand their needs.

If you would like to consider adoption, please email adoptions@rspca-newcastle.org.uk or call 07872 041733

(Our degus are currently housed in West Northumberland)
