Cat fosterers needed!!
If you are passionate about cats, and have a calm, understanding and patient nature, this could be the ideal role for you. Due to our base being in North London, Friern Barnet, we ask new applicants to live within a reasonable travel distance from us and the RSPCA Hospital in Finsbury Park of up to 20/30 minutes and we will accept applications in some parts of East London and in the Potters Bar area too.
As a cat fosterer you will play a vital role in looking after the cats in our care until they find a new home. You'll be fostering cats in your own home and ensuring their welfare needs are met by feeding, grooming, taking to vets when needed and giving them lots of love and attention. The care and interaction you'll provide will help the cats in your care develop the socialisation skills which can aid a successful rehoming. You'll need experience of looking after cats, in this role you will have the support of our team on hand if you need it.
This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the welfare of cats, especially as some find it hard to adapt to cattery life and benefit more from time in a loving foster home.
We celebrate and respect the diversity of our RSPCA team and embrace the individual qualities, skills and experiences that everyone brings.
To keep you safe and support your wellbeing, we’ll ask you to complete all the necessary training for your role and keep this up to date. We have a suite of wellbeing resources available and can make reasonable role adjustments to support you in your volunteering.
