Furness & Barrow Branch

The RSPCA Furness and Barrow Branch became a registered charity in 1966.

Through a small group of dedicated volunteers, we work diligently to provide care for those animals that are most in need:  the abandoned, abused, distressed and injured.

All money raised within the Branch area is spent locally to promote animal welfare on the Furness Peninsula.  Like all separately registered branches of the RSPCA, we are largely self-funding and welcome donations to support our work.

We have an Advice Centre which is open three days a week to provide advice and assistance to the general public. We offer financial help towards neutering costs for households on benefits and low incomes.

In addition, we welcome volunteers to assist with;

  • animal care
  • transport
  • fundraising
  • pre-adoption and post-adoption home visiting
  • fostering
  • many other small but important job

Please check out the Find a Pet page to see our current residents requiring a loving forever home.
