There Are a Variety of Ways You Can Help Us.
There are a numbers of ways that you are able to help your local branch of the RSPCA.
RSPCA Northumberland West is a seperate charity, run entirely by Volunteer Trustees, working under the umbrella of the National Society.
Our main aim at RSPCA Northumberland West is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome as many animals as possible.
Apart from a one paid manager at each of our three shops, we rely solely on the support of volunteers to keep the shops open and running (pictured left our Hexham shop).
We do employ a part time Rehoming Officer, and someone to support us with Social Media and Events - so we can keep you up to date with everything that is happening at RSPCA Northumberland West. The majority of the funds we raise go to supporting local animals, for example with vetinary care (between January and February 2025 our vets bills amounted to £10,461.01).
Volunteering in our shops can be interesting and rewarding. It is a way to meet new people. And also an excellent way to welcome our Doggy friends.
opportunities range from:
Working on the shop floor, serving customers and working on the till.
working behind the scenes, steaming sorting and tidying.
If you are interested in volunteering with us please visit our shops page, or pop in too see us.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer any volunteering oppurtunities with animals.
