Trustee Recruitment
RSPCA North Teesside & District Branch, established in 1973, is one of over 140 branches within the RSPCA network, but we are also a separately registered charity looking after animals in our local area. Much of the animal welfare work of RSPCA is carried out through local branches, which is run by volunteers who have the support of the National Society. The Branch fundraises locally and all of the funds raised are used to support the welfare of animals and their owners within the North Tees area.
The core objective of the Branch is to provide animal welfare assistance to the National RSPCA frontline Inspectorate, whilst supporting our local community in all things animal related. Since its conception in 2018, the Branch is also part of The Cat Hub, a hugely successful rehoming project covering Tees Valley, County Durham and North Yorkshire - to date over 1000 cats have found their forever homes through this project.
North Tees is run by a board of Trustees, and with an exciting time and change of direction for the Branch, we are now recruiting. Trustees play a vital role in making sure that the Branch achieves its core purpose. This role oversees the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that the Branch has a clear strategy and that our work goals are in line with the RSPCA vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the executive team to enable the Branch to grow and thrive, and through this, achieve our RSPCA mission.
The Branch is now looking to recruit a Trustee Leads for the following -
Animal Welfare
Branch Secretary
Community Outreach
Finance
Governance and Complience
Health and Safety
HR and Employee Relations
Legal and GDPR
Marketing and Social Media
Retail and Income Generation
