I was running for all our furry companions in need!
Meet Micheal one of the runners who took on The Amazing Northampton Run on Saturday 17th September, raising funds for RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch to help us continue finding new homes and happy futures for Northamptonshire’s animals.
Micheal has a 9-year old dog called Cooper who is his world. Cooper has struggled with health issues in recent years however Micheal was delighted to take Cooper to Center Parcs, on his first holiday, this year.
His love for Cooper made Micheal realise that not every pet is as fortunate as Cooper to be safe and in a loving home and decided to help RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch give pets in Northamptonshire the best possible future.
When asked about the experience Micheal said that the work of the branch ‘kept me motivated and disciplined to do my morning runs despite every part of my body telling me to stay in bed. I wasn’t just running for myself anymore, I was running for all our furry companions in need’.
Our runners in this years The Amazing Northampton Run raised over £250.
