Mallydams Wood

Mallydams Wood is a well established wildlife rehabilitation centre, education centre and woodland nature reserve in the South East of England, covering Kent, Sussex and Hampshire.

Admittance of wildlife

Mallydams Wood is open for the admission of wild mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in need of care.

Opening hours are 8am - 7pm, 7 days a week.

Visiting Mallydams Wood

Our site is not open to the general public apart from dropping off injured wildlife at the wildlife centre. The welfare of animals is our priority so we can't allow tours of the wildlife centre as too much human contact can prevent animals from making a full recovery.

Access to our 55 acre woodland nature reserve is by permission only or during organised public events.

Mallydams Community Education Hub

The Mallydams Wood is part of the RSPCA's Prevention and Education programme which seeks to embed understanding of animals from an early age through to adulthood.

The education team provides animal welfare education for a wide range of community settings, from early years and nurseries, to primary and secondary schools, college departments and community youth groups.

We invite groups on site for immersive animal welfare learning and we can also visit you in your own setting to deliver assemblies, workshops and community action for animals across East Sussex and Kent.
