Middlesbrough South Tees & District Branch

Welcome to the RSPCA Middlesbrough South Tees & District Branch. We are a separate charity (number 232226) and registered branch of the RSPCA which supports the work of the RSPCA and its inspectors throughout Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, and part of North Yorkshire as far south as Staithes and Chop Gate.

Our priority is the welfare of animals in our area. To achieve this, we help fund neutering and microchipping, and in cases where an animal is injured or in need of veterinary help, we may be able to help with the costs. We also help fund animal welfare work and rehoming undertaken by the local Inspector team and we help fund the care, rehabilitation and rehoming work of the RSPCA Cat Hub.

If you are concerned about an animal, please read information about contacting the RSPCA national society Here.

If you find a stray dog you need to phone your local dog warden to collect it.

If you have lost your pet, all stray animals collected by the RSPCA are placed on the Animal Search UK website

Unfortunately, we cannot take in animals from the public as we prioritise support for Inspectorate-generated animals.

If you are interested in adopting an animal, for cats please see https://cathub.co.uk/ourcats For any other animal please search on https://www.rspca.org.uk/findapet to find one local to you.

We are run by volunteers and raise funds locally to help animals in our area.  We are currently recruiting for trustees and volunteers, please see our Volunteer Page for further information.
