Please note that Preston animal centre is currently open by appointment only. Please contact the animal centre if you wish to adopt a cat or dog.

RSPCA Preston & District rehoming centre is open to the public everyday except Tuesdays, between the hours of 11am and 3.30pm. You can contact us, during our opening hours, on 01772 792553 and info@rspca-preston.org.uk. We are a self-funding branch and rely on the generosity of the local community to continue our welfare work. Our mission is to provide safe homes to abandoned, neglected or abused cats and dogs, to nurse them back to health, rehabilitate them, and find them their forever home. Our job is never easy, as the volume of unwanted animals just keeps getting higher. We pride ourselves on delivering rehabilitation and rehoming services to protect animals most in need.

If you have found a stray dog, please contact your local dog warden. If you have found an injured animal please take it to the nearest vets as we do not have a vet on site.

Penwortham Charity Shop Manager

21hrs/3 days per week To be worked on a flexible rota covering Monday to Saturday. Candidate must be fully flexible and be prepared to occasionally work additional hours to suit the needs of the branch and to cover annual leave. Charity retail/management experience required

This is an exciting opportunity to be a hands-on trustee at branch level, helping to promote kindness and prevent animal cruelty, reach out to more supporters and influence how we do things. With your support and expertise, we will achieve so much!

Are you enthusiastic and passionate? Could devote the time to volunteer? Want the chance to influence how we care for and prevent cruelty to animals and drive the implementation of key initiatives? Keen to serve on the governing body and be instrumental in the running of the Branch and setting out both the short and long term aims? Want to be responsible for ensuring effective governance and strategic direction? Willing to provide leadership and support for the branch management team?
