Josie Woodward
Josie works in professional services as a Charity Internal Audit Director, advising and assuring large charities and NGO’s on their risk, control and governance environments. Josie is a qualified accountant (ACA), Health and Safety inspector (NEBOSH) and qualified in safeguarding management for children and vulnerable adults.
Within her firm Josie does a lot to support citizenship and the wider charity sector, establishing their trustee network in 2021, she received the 2023 Senior Partner Award for Social Impact linked to this work. Alongside this Josie chairs her firms Women’s network which seeks to build gender parity and implement key actions from their 2030 Gender Action Plan.
Josie has been a branch trustee since 2019 and has held the role of Treasurer and Secretary. She is really passionate about supporting animals particularly within the branch setting, she has had animals her whole life (rabbits, dogs, cats and fish!) and regularly fosters cats for her previous branch.
Having been on the East London and Havering branch for a number of years Josie’s bring skills and experience from supporting the running of a cattery, completing the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) process, managing the AGM process and beyond.
