Animal Futures

Animals’ futures are in our hands. Will we build a world which treats them with kindness and respect, or leave them behind as we put our own needs first? Explore five different futures and uncover how your choices today will impact animals’ lives.

What might the future hold?

The decisions we make today all have an impact on the world. From climate change to technological progress, our political decisions to what we eat – all of these will determine what the future looks like for us and the animals we live alongside.

Wondering how things could look in 2050 for animals and people, based on our actions today? Click on a future to find out.

  • 1 Tech-centric: We’ve supercharged our use of technology, but this comes at a cost to animals.
  • 2 Eco carnage: We’ve ignored the warning signs about climate change and now we, and animals, are paying for it.
  • 3 Blinkered world: Attempts to tackle climate change and food production haven’t been ambitious enough, which means a mixed picture for animals and people alike.
  • 4 One planet: We’ve started to realise the planet is interlinked and what’s good for animals is good for us all.
  • 5 Animals speak up: What if we could create technology that lets us talk to animals?
