We are a small rehoming branch of the RSPCA (and a separately registered charity), finding homes for dogs, cats, and rabbits that come into our care from across the Crewe, Nantwich and surrounding areas (Winsford, Shavington, Wrenbury, Audlem, Barthomley, Haslington, Hough, Malpas, Tilston, Middlewich, Byley, Bunbury, Marton, Wettenhall, Faddiley, Wardle, Bickerton  etc.).   

We are pleased to announce that on 6th June 2024, our branch became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), with a new charity number of 1207034.  We are undergoing this transition along with the wider RSPCA network. It represents a key step in modernising our governance framework. The CIO is now the data controller, although for an interim period, the existing branch and the CIO will co-exist as we work through the process of informing all relevant parties.  Any queries regarding this transition can be sent to our Branch Chair at chair@rspca-crewenantwich.org.uk.

The main things that you need to know about us are:

• Our primary purpose is to rehabilitate and rehome dogs, cats and rabbits that come to us via the nationally operated RSPCA Inspectors. or from from the public. 
• We are staffed entirely by volunteers and we do not have an Animal or Admin Centre. The animals in our care are housed in private boarding establishments or with volunteer foster carers  Our admin work is carried out by volunteers in their own homes, fitting it around their day job.
• Our resources for helping animals are limited by the monies we can raise and the donations we receive. All RSPCA branches work under the umbrella of the national RSPCA, but are actually separate and individually registered charities, responsible for finding our own funding for our work with local animals. • By the way, we are  NOT  the same as, or part of, RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery and Wildlife Centre in Nantwich. We are two separate entities, although we are both RSPCA, and we do have a great relationship! Stapeley is staffed and managed directly by the national RSPCA, while we are a separately registered and volunteer-run rehoming charity, working under the guidelines and policies of the national RSPCA.
