Adopting one of our animals
All our animals are neutered, microchipped, de-fleed, wormed and vaccinated before rehoming - the adoption fee provides a small contribution towards these costs:
Dog - £200; Cat - £80 Kitten - £90; Rabbit: Single - £55 Bonded Pair - £90.
We always try to find the best match when rehoming our animals so please understand that, occasionally, we may have to say no.
Our rehoming process is outlined below:
- If you are interested in one of our animals, please read their profile carefully and ensure that you meet the animal's requirements BEFORE you apply.
- To express interest in adopting, please complete the online form linked to on the animal's profile. The form will provide us with the essential information we need.
- If you meet the requirements of the animal and your application is selected, a member of the rehoming team will call you to discuss your application and ask for any further information needed. Please note that we may not be in a position to contact unsuccessful applicants. If you are not contacted within 2 weeks from when you submitted your application, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. We are unable to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications.
- If all goes well with our discussion, we’ll arrange an appointment for you (and any other relevant members of your household) to meet your chosen animal. Some animals, in particular our dogs, may need more than one meeting with you.
- If introductions are successful, we will carry out a home visit. This will ensure that the home environment is suitable for your new pet and also provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions about their care and requirements.
- Once everything has been checked, arrangements will be made for you to adopt your new pet.
- You will receive a follow-up email or call from the rehoming team after the adoption to find out how your new pet has settled in. We are happy to continue to offer support and advice where needed and we are always pleased to receive updates.
Where possible, we try to rehome our animals amongst our local community, which covers the wider area around Crewe and Nantwich. This allows us to support new owners as required. We do rehome further afield, but this decision is made on a case-by-case basis.
