September News!
Another busy month has flown by here at the RSPCA Surrey Woking & District Branch.
Here are some of the lucky animals of September that have fallen well and truly on their paws!!
Honey
This elderly lady was found terrified and alone on a busy dual carriage way by the local dog warden! The RSPCA Woking Branch took her under their wing. After a short stay in the vets, ensuring she was fit and healthy, she gradually recovered and re-built her confidence. It wasn’t long before Honey’s story had attracted attention! Honey is now enjoying life with a new family! She is settled and content with her new brother and loving owners! It is another case of a “Failed Foster”.
Frankie
This gorgeous boy was found in someone’s garden, scared, injured and alone. He was taken to the vet with severe lacerations to his leg and neck, it was clear he needed urgent care. With no reports of him missing the RSPCA Woking branch took him in. After a short stay at the vets, he was on his way to recovery. He was placed into emergency foster care. It took this scared boy one night to charm his new family and he ended up staying! He is growing in confidence and his cheeky side is starting to show!
Buddy
This gentle giant was looking for a home for a long time! He came into the care of the RSPCA Woking Branch in June this year, he was in a collapsed state. After several weeks at the vets and many tests later, he was diagnosed with Addison's disease. This means he would need medication to control this condition for the rest of his life. In this last week, the RSPCA Woking Branch was over the moon to announce to all his fans and followers that "BUDDY HAD LEFT THE BUILDING!" Yes, that's right, Buddy has found himself his forever home! He is now sharing his love for life with his new companion and family members who absolutely adore him!
Alice
Little Alice came into our care in June this year. She was found abandoned in a box on the A330 with her brother. Both had been severely neglected and needed urgent veterinary care. Unfortunately, her brother wasn't strong enough to survive his traumatic start in life. As soon as she was strong enough, she was placed into one of our wonderful foster homes to start enjoying home life. Now, bursting with confidence, she has found herself her perfect home! She is doing well and loving every minute of it!
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped us with fostering, adopting, donating and volunteering. Without all of you these beautiful animals wouldn't be where they are today.
Please remember we still have others like Buddy, Alice, Honey and Frankie who are waiting patiently for their own happy endings. Please share and spread the word!! If you would like any information on the animals still waiting for a home, or if you would like to donate, please get in contact with us.
