October End of month News

Bob

Little Bob came to us in June, with five other dogs. The other four have found their forever homes, but Bob needed more time to find that extra special home. He was a nervous and shy boy who needed to gain trust in people again. Bob was adored by his foster family, and he was settling in very well, so it was a tense time waiting for his new home to come up.

A family applied for Bob, they were perfect! The family took things at Bob’s pace, allowing us to arrange meet and greets in advance to ensure everyone was comfortable with one another. A day was arranged for Bob to go on a play-date at the family home, he would have to come out of his comfort zone and meet his potential new siblings. Everything went beautifully, and an adoption day was planned.

Bob is a happy boy! He has a new brother and best friend, the family’s Chihuahua! The pair of them have bonded and are inseparable which has helped both dogs to come out of their shells. Sadly Bob’s chihuahua brother was heartbroken following the loss of his sibling a little while before. Bob is now living a happy and care-free life, his new family adore him.

We would like to say a massive thank you to his new owners for seeing what we see in him, also to his foster family who did an amazing job of taking care of Bob, without you he wouldn’t be where he is today.

Kiki

Kiki arrived into our care in September after changes in her family circumstances. She was a very nervous and timid soul, it was clear this little girl was going to need lots of TLC and gentle training.

Kiki went to stay with our doggy behaviourist for a little while. She needed to learn to socialise and interact with other dogs, and learn how to trust strangers. Within a short time, Kiki was loving the attention from her human friends and new people she met. In no time, she was off lead, exploring her surroundings and making new friends with different dogs of all shapes and sizes! Kiki wasn’t short of applications, we selected a perfect family and a meet and greet was arranged! It was love at first sight for everyone involved; the rest is all history!!

Kiki is living a happy life, full of love and fun! She developed an incredible bond with our doggy behaviourist; her new owners pass the behaviourist’s house every day, meaning Kiki can visit her best friend regularly and have the best of both worlds! Kiki has wonderful new owners who adore her, plus she has play dates with the person she first learned to trust. Let’s just say everything happens for a reason!! Everyone was happy, most importantly, Kiki. Continue being happy beautiful girl!
